Hello.

I Design - Front Cover Final.png

This is my first book. It’s at once a personal collection of thoughts I’ve had since I began studying poetry and an examination of what it means to me to be a self who experiences life contrasted against others, let’s say.

“Dreaming in Hemingway”

was published November 2019 in The Blue Mountain Review. This was the first poem I wrote in 2017 when I began studying poetry. It took a long time to get it published, but it’s still one of my favorite pieces. Please click below to read it and support the publication if you can.

Id Entity-1.jpg

“Id Entity” is a poem with a rhythm I happened to feel in my heart that day.

This is another poem from the book. I wrote “Senator Franken” around the two-week period before and after Al Franken resigned from the Senate. It was all doubly hard to think about while Roy Moore seemed to be the front-runner in the Alabama contest. There was a stanza or two mentioning Moore and the abhorrence of a win by him under the circumstances, but I decided those would detract from the message here.

How we let them do it - Google Docs-1.jpg

“It’s Not What They’ve Done…” is a poem that came about from being in the correct frame of mind. While this is not in the book, I feel it captures well the kind of thing I write, to give you an idea.
